Party poker.com acquires WPT Enterprises Inc.
On November 6, 2009 partygaming (the parent company of partypoker.com) completed the acquisition of WPT Enterprises Inc.
With these assets, the World Poker Tour brand plus the rights to a number of land-based events, along with an extensive library of over 300 hours of poker programming that is broadcast in more than 150 countries. In addition party gaming also gets more than 2000 domain names including www.worldpokertour.com, and www.clubWPT.com.
Two of the biggest brands in online and off line poker come together, to create one of the biggest poker mergers in the history of online and off-line folder.
As always partypoker.com features a full house of promotions. The month of December features a $50,000 cash game raise, a jackpot hunter, which is a sit and go style tournament, a one million-dollar multitable tournament jackpot, and plenty of holiday festivities for the Christmas season.
